THE SIXES GAME

Stone the crows! Good old Haggard Hawks quietly added its 60,000th follower over on Twitter last week, and that can only mean one thing: yes, 60,000 drinks are on us. Oh, and it’s time for another of our fiendish word games...

Here’s how this one works. Click PLAY in box the below, and you’ll be shown 30 six-letter words. Above them will be longer clue word, with some of its letters missing. All you have to do is work out which of the six-letter words in the box fits into the gap to complete the clue word. 

 

So if the clue was ACCI______LY, you would click the answer DENTAL, to spell accidentally. If the clue was MONU______LY, you would click the answer MENTAL to spell monumentally. Get the idea? Good!

Only, let’s just say the game itself is just a little bit harder than those examples. Oh, and there’s only 5 minutes on the clock, in which to correctly match all 30 clues to their corresponding six-letter words. That’s more like it...
