ANAGRAMS GAME

October 16 is Dictionary Day, which each year gives us the opportunity both to unleash something of a Twitter storm, and test your wordy faculties to their limits. Last year, we marked the occasion with a game of Missing Letters (which ended up amongst the most popular HH games yet). The year before, it was the turn of a hellishly difficult spelling bee. And this year, it’s all about anagrams...

Click PLAY in the box below, and you’ll be shown a grid of forty 7-, 8- and 9-letter words. Above them will be one more word, which will just so happen to be an anagram of one of the words below it. All you have to do is match this clue word to its anagram. So if the clue was ALLERGY, you’d pick its anagram GALLERY. If the clue was ALARMING, you’d pick the answer MARGINAL. It all sounds straightforward enough, doesn’t it? Because anagrams are just word jumbles, right? Indeed—that’s why there’s only 4 minutes on the clock...

As always let us know how you many you can correctly match over on Twitter, and good luck!
